Good quality socks.

apologies for a boring sock post.

Any idea where I can get good quality but reasonable priced socks?? That last through washes.

I get through so many socks. After a few washes I seem to get holes in them or they shrink. Drives me mad.

I tend to get them at Sainsbury’s as there's a store nearby and they often have them half price so I stock up but they don't last. Next are terrible quality I've found. Had some from Asda which seem okay but no Asda nearby.

any recommendations?

I gave BAM this year and I think they are lovely. Dh was given Seasalt last year and they were rubbish.

I bought socks from M&S men's department about 15 years ago and I still have 4 out of the 7 pairs. They do two sizes. I'm a 7 and the smaller size is perfect. The socks from the women's department have never fared so well.

Another fan of M&S mens' socks. I'm a size 5 and buy 6-8. Wash on 30° and never tumble dry them.

M&S ones wore thin after 2 wears. I walk a lot and my socks need to be up to the job. I'm thinking quality over quantity now as I'm fed up of socks that twist and wear thin so I'm watching this thread with interest. I'm especially interested in recommendations from posters who walk several miles a day in trainers.

I walk 4+ miles a day (weekday commute) in trainers and the M&S ones I linked up above have lasted well. I have 5 pairs - I wear a pair a day Mon-Fri and I bought them in September. None show any signs of wear yet and this is the longest I've had socks without holes!
