Mattress recommendations for single beds

I need to get new mattresses for the kids - 15 and 12. Single beds. I haven't bought a mattress for years. What do people have these days that they like/recommend?

We've been really happy with the IKEA Hovag mattress for our sons bed, a Which Best Buy. It's been replaced by the Valevag range.
