Help - white bunny lost….any ideas where to look?!

Hello!
I am desperately posting in the hopes any woo Mumsnetters - or anyone with a direct line to that saint who helps you find things…..!
we’ve just got back from an incredible holiday to Lapland with our girls. We had the loveliest time, but arrived back on the 23rd to find my DD7’s beloved white bunny toy was nowhere to be found. We’ve looked everywhere - turned out cases and bags, looked inside salopettes and jackets etc - and the hotel say they can’t find it anywhere either. I just can’t imagine where else it could be! It definitely didn’t come out in transit so it’s either in Lapland still or somewhere in our house.
can anyone think of anyone else to try?! Or has a feeling for this?! Am pretty desperate and hoping for a Boxing Day miracle…..!

Have you looked at photos to see the last one bunny is in? How did you do transfers from hotel etc?

isitwinetimeyet16 · 26/12/2022 16:08

He’s not in any photos as she only has him for bedtime. That’s also how I know he can’t have been lost anywhere else! She would have had him at bedtime the last night we were there then we didn’t have him when we got home….!

In the laundry at the hotel

SummerHouse · 26/12/2022 16:16

Behind the washing machine. Anyone remember "strawberry"? That was a tread from many years ago.....

carkerpartridge · 26/12/2022 16:17

Wedged in the sleeves/legs/hood of clothes?

Tittyfilarious81 · 26/12/2022 16:22

Is he caught up in her pyjamas from the last night in Lapland

isitwinetimeyet16 · 26/12/2022 16:27

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I’ve emailed the hotel re checking with their laundry provider, not sure my Finnish would be up to explaining that! Re clothes we’ve gone through everything, washed everything and put away and checked all the coats etc. I’ll check the washing machine too!

This is an old trick I read about in an old book.

Put a pinch of salt in the middle of a wooden table.

Focus your thoughts on the lost item.

Press your left forefinger down on the salt and say out loud 'I pin the devil'.

The lost item will turn up, or you'll remember where it was last seen.

Good grief.

I would ask your DD if she put it in a bag - there might be a pocket you don’t know about.

Start trying to find a replacement just in case.

You could set the scene with the book Tatty Ratty where the white bunny gets lost!

Is it the jellycat bashful bunny? I would order a new one

zippalippa · 26/12/2022 17:12

We lost my daughter's fav ted and searched high and low for days until we found it wedged right under the back seat of the car. We'd already looked there three times but clearly not deep enough!

Stardustkid · 26/12/2022 17:16

Ask them to check down the back of the bed frame they can get stuck behind the wall and the frame, most people look in the bed and on the floor. But the don’t look between- I’ve found many (and other things I don’t want to think about) stuck there when I worked in a hotel

LightandMomentary · 26/12/2022 17:20

Just don't underestimate the power of REALLY looking. My 22 yr old ds found his wallet after several searches, phone calls, neighbourhood WhatsApps, torchlight searches outside in torrential rain 2 days ago. It had managed to wedge itself, after being dropped into his travelling bag, in between the lining of his shoe and the insole of his shoe, up at the toe level - couldn't be felt or seen until a serious search for the 58th time.

OP i sympathise. We lost DDs jellycat bunny in 2008 and I still have the mental scars.

Someone found it in a puddle, picked it up and left it on a phone junction box outside Russell and Bromley near St Ann's Sq in Manchester.

Thank the stars for that person. 😍

I hope your bunny turns up. Xx

Just email the hotel. I would image they will have some English.

They will run it through google translate.
