Spider incident in car....

We're off to see DH's family today. DH is driving. Out of the corner of my eye, I see something on the sun guard on his side... massive spider!
I don't know how I stayed calm, but I just said we needed to pull over. DH spotted it, but by the time we managed to pull over, it had gone down the side of his chair!
So, no relaxing journey for us now! It's still somewhere in the car.....shudder

Oh shit, I had that happen once when I was driving. Luckily I was driving very slowly on an empty road where I could pull right over to the side.

I also had a fuckin huge dragon fly come in though the open window and into my face one summer. I wasn’t driving thank god or I think I would have driven into the hedge.

I once posted this about someone having to burn their house down on a Facebook post they had made about a giant spider in their bedroom that had disappeared and Facebook suspended my account for inciting violence or some such nonsense. Seriously true!

Do you have mortein over there? If so, empty half a can into the car and it’ll kill everything in sight.
I used to always carry a can of it around as I’d get huntsman spiders on the car when I’d park under a tree.

This is why I don't trust spiders. Wtf is it doing in your car? What's its motivation? First guess is that it wants to take over your car, then house and then become an overlord.

My bf at the time picked me up having just been to the tip with a car full of garden waste.

I got in the car and he turned to put his seat belt on. This huge spider the width the seat belt came marching down it towards bf's wide open shrieking mouth

He fell out of the car trying to get away

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I was in the car park and I opened the back door to get bags out and saw something out of the corner of my eye that my brain went “WRONG” and I leapt away. I had to approach a woman and ask her; “how are you with spiders?” and she just calmly flicked it off for me (it was the size of a hand).
Anyway, I got home and as I got out of the car it was there again, on the front light! I ran to the house, got the mortein, it kind of died and fell off and then I ran it over as well.
Anyway, I used to get other ones suddenly running across the windscreen. If I ever have an ECG in the future and they say “you had a series of small heart attacks in 2011” I’ll know what it was.
Luckily we moved house and I now have a garage and I’ve never had one since, but I do spray the inside door frames and around the wing mirrors and lights with surface mortein.
I feckin hate spiders.

Not the car, but I was once in a loo cubicle at work and one ran in under the door.

It was a good job it was me and not one of my colleagues, I'm convinced they would have come out screaming with their pants still around their ankles.

I had a similar post deleted for "inciting violence" on FB.

Anyone who saw the thread would have known it was a joke so I assume it was a Bot.

I rephrased it along the lines of:
"I suggest you make the house incredibly hot using a small wooden item with red on the end to extinguish the possibility of the eight legged creature surviving and making its way towards me."

Well, we've made it. Spider has not made another appearance. I've told DH he's unpacking the car!
