Sprung on me yesterday that I'm expected to bring dessert to boxing day lunch at MILs today. Have left over pandoro from yesterday so am thinking a quick trifle?? Any ideas? I can pop to supermarket if needed. Also have, usual booze, cherries, a mango.

Help

I think you'd struggle for a quick truffle because the layers all need time to set before you can continue? It takes a whole day here if not longer 😅

How about making a meringue, slice your mangos and cherries, whip some cream, and then assemble as a pavlova once you arrive?

is amazing - just chuck it all in a dish!

You can make my mum's trifle in ten mins. Swiss roll as bottom layer. Generous sprinkle of frozen raspberries. Custard next - she melted white choc and stirred it into the custard. Then whipped cream. Raspberries to decorate and white choc shavings.

Lush.

My pavlova normally cools down in oven overnight?
