First time hosting a Christmas party. It would be DH, me and the ILs.
Spent the day doing extra shopping for Christmas dinner (for the sides like cheese board, charcuterie etc...), prepping the turkey, brine, vegetables, etc... baked and decorated BIL's birthday cake, learned how to make MIL's favourite Asian dish and spent a couple of hours making it, as they will be staying over for a few days etc etc... all for that to wake up to my husband this morning, miffed, telling me (in his own words to "tease me"): "Why are you awake?"
Well happy Christmas to you too, sorry to disturb you and your personal time.
Feeling really unwanted and kind of want to just retreat and let them enjoy their time together when ILs arrive.
Or is this actually a funny joke and I'm just stuck up?
