Should I even try to travel on a train next week?

Due to travel to London from Leicester on Tuesday. East Midlands Rail website says “only travel if absolutely necessary” they are putting on all services but some may be cancelled. I’m due to meet some friends and go see a musical. It’s been booked for months and I’m so looking forward to it after a horrible year. Last year we tried but covid shut the show down. Is it even worth even trying?

Can you get a coach or something instead?

I don’t think I could get a coach back in time.

I wouldn't rely on a train to get home after a show in the evening. If it's a matinee you have options, why could you not get a coach in time? It sounds like you need to be back so no I wouldn't risk the train

I think you will get down there on a train, doubtful you would get one back in the evening

All the return evening coaches are sold out. It doesn’t sound like a goer does it?

Can you stay over and go back the next day?

Maybe. Thanks all.
