9 year old sick GP said viral and didn't give anything

9 year old has cough, had fever on and off, and tired, saw doctor yesterday and he said it was viral, as she has runny nose, glands a bit up but wasn't worried. She is skeeping again this afternoon and I'm wondering if its normal to be tired. Gas been unwell since Tuesday afternoon. Thanks

Of course it's normal to be tired.

My daughter has recently had one of these nasty viruses going round. She slept for most of the time. It's how your body deals with viruses.

On off fever, a cough and tired for 3 days and you took to the doctors. At this time of year. Is it any wonder the nhs is struggling

I was worried about her cough and fever on and off. Plus, she has sensory issues and wasn't taking any medicine. He said it was right thing to do to check her..I guess just a worried mum but I should relax. Not like her usual self.

I wouldn't expect them to give anything for a virus. I probably wouldn't have went to the GP after a few days. Hope the bairns on the mend soon.
