I love them so much.

Bacon is ok -not a huge fan probably have it 4 times a year, as is sausage and I probably have this more maybe 6 times a year.

But pigs in blankets I could eat all day!

Yep, I had a pigs in blanket wholemeal crusty roll this morning.

SinnerBoy · 24/12/2022 17:29

I got mixed up and cooked ours last night. Fortunately, I was able to get some more today.

I had them last night and for breakfast.

Plump82 · 24/12/2022 17:30

I used to love eating them cold the next day. I managed to get vegetarian ones this year and I just know they're going to be a let down!

I'm having a Lidl foot long pig in blanket for dinner.

FrogFairy · 24/12/2022 18:06

I have seen a few photos on FB of pigs in blankets in the hole. Looks heavenly.

Paranoidandroidmarvin · 24/12/2022 18:13

I think I’m the only person in the U.K. that doesn’t like them. I’m not a fan of bacon as I don’t like the taste and it is too salty for me.

PauliesWalnuts · 24/12/2022 18:17

I don’t get it. I like bacon and don’t mind sausages but can’t stand them together - people fight over my “spares” at Christmas dinners.

YogaLite · 24/12/2022 18:38

I don't like either, even the name puts me off <spoilsport>

ChristmasJingleBalls · 24/12/2022 18:42

DH despairs every year at how many I buy. Grin

VincentandJia · 24/12/2022 19:00

My daughter is obsessed with them this year

CoffeeBoy · 24/12/2022 19:03

I’m the only meat eater in the house so get a whole tray to myself.

Blocked · 24/12/2022 19:03

I don't like them. Too meaty. I prefer (non meat based) stuffing wrapped in bacon.

tapdancingmum · 24/12/2022 19:04

I like pigs and I like blankets - just not together. I like my sausages properly cooked and feel when they are wrapped in bacon I doesn't happen.

My work colleagues fight over who is have mine from our Christmas meal and my DH cooks me some naked ones 😀

DelilahBucket · 24/12/2022 19:12

I always buy several packets of them. Not specifically for Christmas, but afterwards too. I make a carbonara with them amongst other things. They are the food of the gods. There is absolutely nothing to stop me making them myself during any other time of year 😂

FrightfullyFreezy · 24/12/2022 19:19

Never had them ever. Ever ever ever ever

Yep, I had a pigs in blanket wholemeal crusty roll this morning.

I went one further the other day and had them with stuffing, butter and apple sauce. A poor man's hog roast roll. I need another one.

TheChosenTwo · 24/12/2022 19:28

I don’t like them. Love bacon, don’t really eat sausages. We have 2 trays of 60 of the bloody things all wrapped and ready to go tomorrow and now 2 of our guests have Covid and aren’t coming! 60
to eat between 10 people. Full size chipolatas aswell, none of those bite sized things here 🫣
good job we have more guests coming in the evening to eat any leftovers 😂

Handsnotwands · 24/12/2022 19:31

I like bacon. I like sausages. I don’t like the way the sausage skin is when the piggy is in its blanket. It’s not for me.

dontgobaconmyheart · 24/12/2022 19:31

I was hoping this was going to be about how grim they are.

I'm really not a fan, it's two underwhelming bits of rubbish and (certainly from the supermaket at least) highly processed meat shoved together.

I also always find the concept of anything involving various meats shaped together ( PIB, 3 bird roasts, sausage wreaths etc) a bit unsettling and house of horrors. I'm not a vegan and am not suggesting it's actually worse than anything else but one dead animal at a time is enough for me and it doesn't need to be shaped ornamentally.

Prescottdanni123 · 24/12/2022 19:37

I'm the same. Not a big red meat eater and pigs in blankets is literally just pork wrapped around pork but I love them.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 24/12/2022 19:50

I'd happily ditch the Turkey and have a big plateful of the gorgeous buggers
