Boxing Day meeting up with my bestie
Day after Christmas dog walk with my uncle

today , husband is working till 8 , daughter working until two, son is currently plugged into his Xbox

This morning I need to double check I have everything, clean the bathroom, kitchen and vacuum the house . Maybe tidy up the car lol .

but at the moment, I’m watching desperate housewives and drinking tea and putting off getting the bleach out haha

I’m procrastinating here instead of making my plan for the day.

Guess I need to prep some food and finish wrapping a few things. Figure out food timings.

Christmas light walk/drive round the neighbourhood later.

Antipasti/cheeseboard/mezze for dinner as is our tradition.

Norad Santa tracking.

Santa stuff - stockings, snacks for the big man.

Just us (me DH 3 kids) tomorrow so it’s pretty chilled!

We always eat Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve so I will be cooking while having a brief tidy round (luckily not much needs doing). Then we’ll eat and have a few drinks (DC are adults).

Tomorrow morning we’ll open presents, then a nice brunch. Board games or a movie in the afternoon. Then leftovers, buffet food for dinner.

Nothing much happening on Boxing Day, but we’ve all been looking forward to a rest!

We don't do Christmas so today we are going to move a load of firewood to the store by the house, and cut up all the wood we rescued from the woods, and stack that to dry off more for burning later in the season. And then rejig the fresh wood from this year's work so that old wood and new wood are at the different ends of the wood shed.

And I'm making a curry for lunch and we will have nans as I made pizza yesterday and so have saved from dough for nans today.

And I'm using the week to sit through 'learn french in 5 days' 4 hours a day french as a review and a systematic process so that I'm further ahead when I go back to French classes next year. So I'll have that on headphones, aiming for 2-3 hours a day over up to 10 days.

Cleaned the bath and the sink then came and got back into bed 🫣

least I don’t have to leave the house today, it might take me the next twelve hours to finish the bathroom at this rate 😁

Enjoyed a bit of a ly-in this morning till 9 after spending last night doing all the wrapping. Been up town this morning just to get some chocolates and sweets to put in the kids stockings. I need to do some housework this afternoon. Nothing to pressing just run the hoover around and give the bathrooms a once over. I'll get the bleach out if you do 😁

I need to -

hoover all the downstairs rooms
polish and mop
wipe the skirtings (they look terrible)
fold up 2 baskets full of clean, dry washing and put it away.
Go out for drinks tonight - so do hair, make-up, clothes

Instead, I'm faffing about on here whilst scoffing 2 mince pies and drinking Bailey's

I've put a load of washing on, I've just refilled the handwash and toilet cleaner, DH is cleaning stuff. I'm hoping to go for a walk with DH and DS2 this afternoon, a short run this evening and then I'll make red cabbage for tomorrow, and maybe sticky toffee pudding if anyone wants a dessert tomorrow... (secretly hoping noone does ..)

My nieces is in labour. I am currently eating lunch, then will be doing a final tidy up at home.

Will probably head over to ex-SIL this afternoon and walk nieces dogs with her as she can't walk them alone, then spend the rest of the day together playing Gin Rummy.

ds is working this afternoon till nearly midnight so poor dh is getting deserted!

I just did the Christmas food shop and put it all away. Now it’s time put on my sparkly top and watch a pantomime.

Today has felt a bit busy but trying to prep as much as I can before a gathering at my parents later.

DH has made brownies and mince pies for tomorrow. I've laid the table for tomorrow, sorted out washing and cooked some food to take to my parents later. Just written a list of food timings for tomorrow and need to hoover before we go out.

Tonight, DH and I will prep the veg and sort out the sausages wrapped in bacon.

Drove 30 miles for a lovely lunch with the kids and dh. Back home now, just put my turkey and ham in then im off to tesco for a reduced price fresh turkey for the freezer.
