Sofa recommendations please

I am looking to replace a tired 15 year old faux leather Ikea sofa with a fabric or aniline leather sofa with chaise. 2 fairly messy children - 5 and 9, no pets. Should I risk a fabric sofa with a washable cover - for e.g. Ikea seems to have a few. Or should I buy aniline leather again? Current sofa just seems a bit sticky/cold to touch, but has braved several spills and sketch pens.

In either case, I would really appreciate recommendations in the <£2k range. Needs to seat about 5 + chaise. Thanks ever so much.

Mine are leather, Barker & Stonehouse in the sale. I got what I paid for.. 15 years & still look like new.

@DrunkenSailor They are leather. Similar to these, but apparently MN's hate brown leather! :-)

Our last sofa was microfibre, it feels like suede but it’s man made. It is in immaculate condition, the fabric itself has outlasted the mechanism of the recliners and the finance deal…. It was from furniture village. We are replacing it with one from Next but I doubt the next fabric will last like the microfibre has.

@mamabear715 i need glasses it seems. You did say your sofa was leather. I saw this at barker and stonehouse - not sure how spill resistant it will be
