My first day off today with DC. 5 and 7. I did the ridiculous pre Christmas spring cleaning while they player on their tablets and watched shite.
I don't mind the odd day like this, but dc2 especially becomes quickly obsessed and difficult about screen time so am keen to avoid it!
Single parent, and I do struggle with my need for downtime coinciding with school hols , I think I need to plan in so e morning activities even if just board games, baking etc
We're off now til the new year, I always struggle to find a good balance. Dc2 in particular can be hard work with going out, doing activities (as wants to play on his tablet all day - this I don't allow but still doesn't stop the tantrums about it)
