Anyone else just feel constantly queasy

workiskillingme · 23/12/2022 18:07

And no cause has ever been found?
I can only explain it as a churning feeling in my stomach and always wonder each day if it will be the day I will vomit or have diarrhoea
I've had colonoscopy endoscopy and nothing found - had test for h pylori as well
Does anyone else have this constant yucky feeling?

I’ve had that feeling with excess acid/acid reflux. What investigations have you had?

Ladybird69 · 23/12/2022 18:22

I’ve had it lately an d even brought water up! I nibble dry biscuits to try and ease it. It’s just like when I was pregnant and gone right off food too.

Do you drink a lot of tea? I'm very sensitive to something in tea (not the caffeine) and if I drink more than a cup a day I feel churning/nausea. It build up over time as well so I have to have regular breaks of a couple of days when I don't drink it at all, which is a shame because I bloody love tea.

If I drank multiple cups a day I would basically feel permanently queasy.

HiyaCaath · 23/12/2022 18:51

Sorry was editing my post to say can see you said that and my battery died. Hard to say with nausea, have you tried keeping a diary to see what it seems to coincide with or is it just there all day?

Blocked · 23/12/2022 18:52

I get this when I'm particularly anxious or tired.

PauliesWalnuts · 23/12/2022 18:53

Post-nasal drip (sounds revolting) causes it for me.

Looneytune253 · 23/12/2022 18:54

Could it be anxiety? I suffered with nausea for months and months and diarrhoea and could internally work myself into illness when I knew someone else was sick. None of this was conscious so I had no idea why I was feeling so nauseous all the time. Once I made the connection and recognised the triggers I was a little better but not perfect. It took a while for it to go.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 23/12/2022 18:57

@workiskillingme did you have biopsy from the colonoscopy? I have microscopic colitis, needs a biopsy, and had this before I started meds to deal with the flare. You don't always need meds nor does it mean you will have multiple flare ups.

Possibly
If I feel unwell I also hyper focus which as you know makes things worse

Daily. I'm 23 and can't remember the last time I had a full day of feeling well. Was treated for h pylori back in November and am awaiting results from being retested as I'm not convinced it's gone. Fed up with not being able to do anything due to nausea and fatigue.

Swissnotswiss · 24/12/2022 22:00

I had it for about six years and one day it just stopped. No idea why but it was lovely. You have my sympathy.

WallflowerPerks · 24/12/2022 22:04

But of a random clutch at straws, but are you taking any vitamins? Multivitamins made me feel nauseous. The zinc in them doesn't agree with some people apparently. Anyway just a random thought to rule out.

Whywhywhywhy3 · 24/12/2022 22:06

It is possible to have stomach issues despite a clear endoscopy. I had one a few years ago due to constant indigestion and was told it was all clear. I have something called "functional dyspepsia" - it's like IBS, in that there's nothing visible to see but still causes symptoms. When mine is flaring up I feel sick.

Whywhywhywhy3 · 24/12/2022 22:07

Also have you ever been tested for celiac disease/gluten intolerance? I had a friend who always felt sick but once she cut out gluten it went away!

FloozingThePlot · 24/12/2022 22:13

Yep - it comes and goes though. At its worst, it's debilitating - think random retching, including when cleaning my teeth. No idea of the cause. As PPs suggested, stress, tiredness and dehydration are a factor I think. Plus sinus problems / post-nasal drip. Staying off dairy seems to help. You have my sympathy, OP, it's miserable.

ZenNudist · 24/12/2022 22:13

Not constantly but usually at night. I take gaviscon (swig it from the bottle!!).

Peppermint tea helps a lot. And NO caffeine. I could help myself out by having a really healthy diet. But I don't!

SandysMam · 24/12/2022 22:15

Have you had full bloods taken op? I have kidney failure and felt constantly hungover before starting dialysis.

Bossa09 · 24/12/2022 22:19

I have never clicked on something so fast. YESSS. Feel like I’m constantly saying I feel sick. I did however have h.pylori years ago - that made me sick multiple times per day. I haven’t recently had a test done and that was over 10 years ago.
PP said about gluten, have you tried this. I haven’t, and maybe should.

daffodilandtulip · 24/12/2022 22:27

Ear infections. Even when I didn't know I had an ear infection.

goingback · 24/12/2022 22:30

this has been me, had stomach pains and acid reflux, feel really sick if eat a normal sized meal or anything spicy. Gaviscon every night and omeprazole every morning but no real change. just had an endoscopy and nothing of note except a Hiatus hernia, no H Pylori, but have previously had my gallbladder removed and diagnosed with a fatty liver. Waiting on biopsy results including gluten as have lost weight. All of this from being quite ill with Covid earlier in the year.

goingback · 24/12/2022 22:37

meant to add, GP mentioned Anxiety and asked about my mental health and i unexpectedly burst into tears. anxious because you feel ill and feel more ill because you are anxious. I'm trying self led CBT to see of that helps
