Friend's DH in Hospital (Heart Attack)

My friend's DH had a heart attack a couple of days ago, and is very unwell.

I have tried calling Citizens Advice but they are closed for the Xmas holidays.

I am looking for any general advice for her ie/ how to access their finances (even if joint account it doesn't seem that straightforward), family help, etc. Sorry I'm not sure what I am asking really - just trying to gather information for her to try and help with the practical side of things.

If they have a joint account, she will be able to access money as usual.

Are you trying to prepare for the worst? That is understandable but please don't communicate that to her - she will be wanting to keep hopeful.

Practical help is the best thing. Do they have DC? Who is caring for them? Helping with stuff like meal arrangements etc may well be useful too. I imagine her head is all over the place.
