Thanks for that cheering, festive link Grin.

CPL593H · 23/12/2022 11:07

And a Merry Christmas to you too! Xmas Grin

NoelNoNoel · 23/12/2022 11:09

Good link
I just put in my late father’s D.O.B, according to the link he has over 10 years before he dies.

Bet you feel a bit more motivated though eh?

might print it off and colour in a week each Sunday

I'm going to live until I'm 91, so I'm not even middle-aged yet! Thanks OP, that's really cheered me up! Grin

PortiasBiscuit · 23/12/2022 11:14

Meh, my only tattoo says “memento mori” I find it extremely useful to remind me not to sweat the small stuff.
We’re all going to die, make the most of your life… she says as she lies in bed with flu, listening to the rain pounding down..😂

It’s a bit like an advent calendar, only leading up to death rather than Xmas...and no chocolate or other treat.

Thanks OP, Merry Fucking Christmas.

😂

Pretty blunt instrument as it takes no account of weight, health, smoking, etc.

I've seen better ones online that take into account such factors.

TheVanguardSix · 23/12/2022 11:20

Yeah, thanks for the existential crisis top-up, OP. Great one, pal. Not enough uncontrollable shit to worry about? Well here’s a stocking filler! 🥳😆

Imagine handing out this as a Daily Maths homework sheet to primary school children. 😳

HelpMeGetThrough · 23/12/2022 11:21

Well, that's pissed me off. I'm going to live longer than I thought!! 😡

Choconut · 23/12/2022 11:25

It's a bit generous, assumes you'll live till 91 when uk life expectance is only 80.

Anewuser · 23/12/2022 11:28

What a load of boll0x

I put mine, my husbands and dead father in law’s date of birth and they all said we’d live till 91.

fatsinglereadytomingle · 23/12/2022 11:29

So we're all living until 91!!...I hope not 😬

Cottagecheeseisnotcheese · 23/12/2022 11:34

it assumes you will live to 91 whatever current age you put in
actually you life expectancy can go up , it is approx 80 at birth but if you survive the first year of live it increases. Once you reach 80 your life expectancy is not 80 but about 86 etc if you get to a 100 it is about 101.5 only at 101 are you less likely to make your next birthday than make it; as about a 1 in 250 chance of dying on any given day so only then does each day become the most dangerous day in your life, until then the most dangerous day of your life was the day you were born.

RedHelenB · 23/12/2022 11:36

It's given me more than I'd ideally like!

purpledalmation · 23/12/2022 11:36

91 years. ....as if I'd put my real date of birth on a random web page LOL

Athenen0ctua · 23/12/2022 11:36

It just assumes everyone will die at 91, regardless of current age. I've seen other, better, calculators that calculate a higher life expectancy if you've, say, already made it to 88.

User57713 · 23/12/2022 11:38

I've got over 2,000 weeks left, I can lie around the house all day guilt-free

DinosApple · 23/12/2022 11:40

Yeah the assumption that everyone will live to 91 is a bit tricky. I put my 92yo grandma's birthday in and it wouldn't load!

Parky04 · 23/12/2022 11:41

I have only 2050 weeks left. Better start enjoying myself!

Changechangychange · 23/12/2022 11:44

My DF died in 1991, according to this he still has 1099 weeks left.

I don’t think I’m going to give this much credence.

KangarooKenny · 23/12/2022 11:45

So I’m going to live 4.5 years more than my DH who is 10 years older than me, yet women are said to live longer, and he drinks every day whereas I drink minimally. Yeah, whatever !

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 23/12/2022 11:47

I bloody well hope I don’t live to be 91!

Lolreally · 23/12/2022 12:03

I think people are missing the point, its not claiming to me magic and predict individuals death date in some sort of Internet dephi oracle.
Its meant as a visual aud to how short life is and to just get on with things.
