Travel cup that doesn't make your tea taste weird - Frank Green?

I’ve got a steel sho one which is good. I think it’s plastic/bamboo that weirds up tea.

I don't think it's the cups, it's the fact that the milk has been kept warm. I've never had a decent cup of tea with milk from a flask.

I either drink it black or just have hot water.

Tea is always disgusting in a travel cup but I've heard that the Frank Green ones somehow make tea taste normal. But makes sense it's because the milk is kept warm. Mine are all stainless steel it's coffee or herbal tea in mine.

I think the cups are ok for tea until they've had coffee in them - then tea will always taste bad after. I think the bitterness of the coffee gets into the seals or the plastic no matter how well you clean it and tea will always taste funny. I'd get one that is only ever used for tea and see if that helps preserve the taste.

I use A Frank Green cup for tea and I’d say the tea tastes pretty good. What annoys me is when I want to clean the travel cup, it’s very fiddly to take apart. I’m talking 4 or 5 tiny bits.

I've got a contigo, it's steel on the inside and just the lid is plastic. It doesn't seem to have the 'flask' flavour, it's really good.

I’ve got a Frank green and a contigo and would say the latter is better. I had high hopes for the ceramic FG but it still has that weird taste

I always thought tea tasted weird as the warming of the tea stewed it? That’s why it’s better to just take a flask of hot water to make tea and not pre-made it. It is better in ceramic travel cups but then they don’t really keep it warm for any longer than a mug would.

An old fashioned thermos flask with the little mini cup lid seems the best, especially with separate milk. Don't know if that's just nostalgia! But a travel mug never seems quite right.

I love my Nespresso one actually. Even with tea.
