NHS chief warning families to stay apart this Christmas due to flu and Covid to protect the NHS in its "darkest days". When will this be over?!

Once the NHS has died, then its over. Until then do the best house can with the resources (and common sense) you have. Its the new normal.

So......no socialising, drinking, playing contact sports, driving cars, eating (in case you choke), walking around (in case you fall), crossing the road, cooking (think burns/scalds) or doing anything other than sitting still (not too still, think blood clots) and breathing (but don't breathe in any germs).

Might as well throw the towel in now eh? 🤦

*best you can, not house. No idea where that came from

Have we gone back in time?

It's all common sense really though, isn't it?
If you feel ill, you're not going to want to be around others, & they are sure as hell not gonna want to be around you!
I still went to the (busy) Christingle service in church, but masked. It's not hard.

It needs ripping up and building again. It’s a great institution but it’s evolved with so many complex layers and top tier management structures no one can manage it. Plus it’s a victim of cronyism on one hand and radical left group think on another.

I noticed at the panto the other night that no one was coughing. Also had a party last night where lots had left ill partners at home. No coughing. Felt quite unusual- and nice.
