Anyone any experience of Royal Mail delivering late evening (nearly 10pm)

Was expecting a package today. Tracking says it's still out for delivery, but I'm beginning to think it's not. I could really do with getting it tonight, or them delivering tomorrow (on strike though, so probs not).

It's 21.35. I'm keen to go to sleep.

I had the same, was watching my front gate all day. I think it’s even more unlikely it will arrive tomorrow, but got my fingers crossed for both of us.

Sorry OP, I'd not have thought so. Certainly it's never happened to me that they've delivered very late in the evening or even after 5 or 6pm at the latest.

I know they are striking Christmas eve but you never know and I do hope both your parcels arrive. I did read that whilst 1st and 2nd class letters and standard non-tracked parcel are not being processed or delivered on strike days that tracked parcels and special delivery items might still be delivered, depending on the area and the backlog.

I've been sat here wondering if I'm very unpopular all of a sudden at the huge dearth of christmas cards or whether I'm worrying about nothing because they'll roll in in the new year 😆

My parcel was delivered this morning at 7am. I thought it was the police knocking on the door! Hope yours arrives too.

It turned up on the 24th, I'd quite given up on it arriving. I thought RM were on strike on the 24th. He wasn't dressed in RM uniform though.
