Anyone had this illness?

Temp 39+ - I’m using para and ibuprofen to bring it down but never gets below 39
Feel boiling hot, no ‘chills’
painful joins and aches
Throat isn’t too bad but sporadic wheezing, chesty cough. Hurts when i cough
Retching up mucus
just feel drained and like I have a small fuzzy kitten on my head at all times

Is it flu? I haven’t been this ill since I was a child. No tummy bugs or anything. Just standard colds in winter.

I can’t look after my baby and feel awful at how touched out I feel when DH brings her to me for feeds

Same here - it’s Covid

Interesting, DS10 has had this with these exact symptoms all week but tests have all been negative. We assumed it was more likely to be Strep...

We had this last week. Covid negative. A week later were very emotional, fatigued and wiped out. Appetite is still minimal (but haven't lost any weight, my body looks puffy!)

Anyway, it's awful. Get well soon x
