How the heck to you have these on for 30 mins?
my mouth is hanging open because the strips are so wide, I’m drooling and the stuff is running onto my tongue which is tingling.

Can someone tell me if there is a knack to them please?
Thanks

Can you cut them smaller?

Mumsnut · 22/12/2022 14:54

You are supposed to fold them over the top of your teeth

JustCakeInDrag · 22/12/2022 14:55

You fold them over your teeth.

Do they work!?

SheWoreYellow · 22/12/2022 14:56

What bit are they too big for? They should fit over your teeth pretty well?

Do they work!?

Yeah they do.

Dedontdodatderdode · 22/12/2022 15:02

I see. I didn’t know they folded over 🤣
Thank you.

I see. I didn’t know they folded over 🤣
Thank you.

Read the instructions, you ‘nana! 😂

Dedontdodatderdode · 22/12/2022 15:12

They didn’t come in a box, I just bought a couple of pouches off Etsy to try before spending £££ & all it says on the back is stick gel side to teeth for 30 mins!
I’m guessing when folded over my tongue won’t tingle lol.

Yes they take a bit of fiddling first time. Sounds strange but dry your teeth and really press them into your teeth, all the grooves. I found the tingling did wear off but, they really work.

Dedontdodatderdode · 22/12/2022 22:11

thanks, I will dry them next time. I’ve since watched a video and seen the pressing into the groves, which seems obvious now.
Feel I’ve wasted the first pack now but it does at least seem to have done something.
I drink probably around 13 spoons worth of (mostly decaf) coffee a day and my teeth have become horribly stained. If the next strip lightens them a bit more I will bite the bullet and splash out…AND try to reduce coffee consumption.

Where can I buy these in the UK nowadays? After some more as they were good when I used them a fee years ago (someone brought them back from the Us for me).

countdowntonap · 22/12/2022 22:38

Yes they work.
But made my teeth awfully sensitive. Wish I’d never used them.

JustCakeInDrag · 22/12/2022 22:44

Re: sensitivity- the trick is to start using sensodyne a couple of weeks before you use the whitestrips.

Dedontdodatderdode · 23/12/2022 08:41

I do already have horribly sensitive teeth and use sensodyne, I’ve seen it recommended to use every other day instead of daily so, as I’m already sensitive, I will leave it a couple of days before doing the next one.

@ACJane on an older thread someone recommended here, but there are a lot of sellers on Etsy

I bought these but my gag reflex won’t let me keep them in for any length of time is there any way around this ?

Dedontdodatderdode · 23/12/2022 09:27

Maybe trim the ends or just cut in half so only on the very front teeth?

Hi all, I know this is an old thread but how do you’re buying the real thing from Etsy or Amazon? Is there something specific I should be looking out for to know? I want to give them a go to see if they work but not waste money on fakes (these are the only strips I’ve heard of that actually work!) because if they do I don’t need to go ahead with the £350 teeth whitening at the dentists x

Lollygaggle · 31/07/2023 12:00

It is illegal to sell crest whitening strips in the U.K. or EU because they contain hundreds of times above the legal limit for hydrogen peroxide.

Anyone selling them knows they are breaking the law , hence the very high rate of counterfeit or out of date strips.
