Sharing my amazing throat soothing discovery

I, like loads of others have this terrible cough, cold illness.

My throat and chest feel awful. I went to make myself a hot drink and thought honey would help, but I have no honey.

So i poured some blackcurrant squash and mixed with hot water and I saw my honey and lemon lockets on the side!

Popped one in my drink, stirred till it dissolved and its amazing!

A bit lemony, honey and subtly menthol. Nicer imo than actual honey

Hope this helps someone :)

Obviously it may not have the same benefits as honey but I don't know about that, just that it feels lovely

👍
I had the same experience with Liquorice tea honey and lemon. Thank you for sharing 😊
Nasal irrigation also did it for me when I had blocked sinuses.

Fresh lime in hot water with fresh sage leaves. Tastes nice too!

I'll have to try this. Feel like I blow my nose then need to do it again a second later.
I know it's only a bad cold but it's lousy and feels lovely for something to relieve it for a few minutes!

Ooh this sounds lovely, I don't think I've tried sage in a drink before

I have some of these in the house to do my irrigation, the calpol syringes are good for the job too (obviously one that you don’t use for calpol anymore) you just need to use cooled boiled water 😊

Check out the tutorials on you tube first. It takes a bit of practice 😊

My BIL was telling me about a medicine shot he made. Natural rose hips collect from the countryside, ginger and honey. 50 ml swig now and again. Makes him feel better. Vitamin c etc.
