Fire alarms keep breaking

We buy the fire alarms with built in long lasting batteries, they are meant to last 10 years but they all die after 18 months. You can’t replace the batteries and they won’t stop going off.

anyone else have this? Any reason why? We buy good brands from B&Q, fire angel which surely should last.

We have humidity problems but run dehumidifiers regularly. I’ve got a carbon monoxide alarm that’s lasted 8 years.

I'd get some wired in or buy ones with guarantees

I’d like wired in ones that are connected, I’m always worried if a fire started in our kitchen we wouldn’t hear the alarm from there

Are you sure you can’t replace the batteries? I don’t think there’s a battery out there that could last 10 years.
