I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day. Unfortunately not in peace - the washer's going already, with the towels.

It's Christmas food shop delivery day & I'm quite relieved there are only two, acceptable, subs! I'm just going to potter until it arrives.

Once that's been, I'll nip the couple of things I ordered for my friend round there & have a brew.

Late afternoon we're headed into town so I can get a few bits from Home Bargains that are cheaper there and get my eyebrows threaded. Dd1 wants to pick something up for dd2, so we'll probably nip in Primark too.

We'll eat in the local food court then wander back for the bus, in the dark, to see the lights.

What about all of you? 🎄

I'm hopefully going to get some antibiotics for what I think is a chest infection. I feel dreadful!
I'm really lacking in Christmas cheer!

Scoffing breakfast in the car before going to my first job. Then onto 2nd job, pick kids up, and brave the hell that is a christmas food shop. Only 2 more days of work then a whole. week. off.

I have my mum coming over in a bit to help me make some cake toppers in icing for my DD first birthday. Trying to make it all myself and I'm really excited. Then after I've popped her to bed I'll have a lovely bath, do my eyebrows and nails, get into comfy PJ's and call an old friend for a chat as the OH is out tonight so I have time to pamper myself.

we have a nice day planned (heading to town about 45 mins away with dh and kids) I’ve one more present to buy for my nephew and we have a meal booked in a pretty restaurant. Dh wants to shop in camping and fishing shops (his happy places)
we are going to pick up a few for groceries so we don’t have to do a mahoosive Christmas shop tomorrow (I’ve already bought ham and sauces )

Wash hair first, need to tackle the ironing mountain. Feed starter so I can make sourdough bread later and a ton of pancakes with the discard for the freezer. Walk to volunteer job for afternoon shift with my dog. Hope that adult kids sort evening meal!

I always read these threads but never post decided to change that today.

I need to go to affordable golf and then home bargains with the kids in tow so not sure how it will go.

Then big Christmas clean will commence. Have my mum and brother over tonight for present exchange so will probably have a nice glass of something.

Here in the decaf house I woke early and came downstairs with toddler to cuddle on couch to watch the livestream sunrise from Stonehenge with my tea, the solstice is so important to us, I shed a little tear we have turned the year!

I'm also doing a towel wash today and Christmas linen.

DC are all finally finished school and DH had finished work for 2022, he will have bits and bobs to do from home but no proper going into work yay! So finally feeling Christmassy!

Online food shop coming so I need to tidy the fridge and freezer ready for that. 2 sensible substitutions and one unimportant thing missing.

Then I need to go to the village to post a parcel and collect our butchers hamper.

Then this evening we are off out for dinner and theatre!

Packing for a solo trip to a snowy European country. Feeling pretty low. Not looking forward to it one bit. Dread Christmas.

Into our closest city and lunch and Panto with work friends and our children. DD wants to go shopping but I think she'll change her mind when she realizes every shop is like Primark on a bad day and heaving.

Sit on the beach.
Wander down the road to get some lunch.
Sit by the pool.

Having a lazy morning in bed watching TV with DS, then once we've had lunch we are off to visit my sister and nephews who I haven't seen for a couple of months and deliver their Christmas presents!

Morning everyone, I broke up from work yesterday and back next week.

I've been up for ages and wrapped all the presents I have for teenage DSs, amazingly they have an equal number and I had just enough paper, feeling very pleased with myself.

Going shopping and for lunch with youngest DS later, while I wait for him to haul himself out of bed I'll clean out the fridge in readiness to be refilled.

I'm back with family in the Home Counties and some friends might pop over for a bit of lunch in town, a walk and some last minute shopping with my two year old.

I'm feeling very blurry after said 2 year old, who usually sleeps 7.15 - 7.45, waking up throughout the night and getting up for the day at 4.30am. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and SO tired.

I am in Australia, it was 36 degrees and I stupidy promised my kids to go geocaching and had to stick to my promise in the heat. Then we have chilled in the paddle pool

I’m also eagerly awaiting the Christmas food shop, it’s due in the next hour, I’ve had some issues over the last few weeks so I’m just praying it shows up! After putting it away I’ll do some cleaning, pop out for some more wrapping paper and do a bit more wrapping, then this evening I’m off to soho for cocktails with my cousin and will have a wander, see the lights, get some food etc. I’m really excited!

Lazy day today.
Just me and DS at home today, DD is at nursery, DP is working at the office.
DS(5) is currently in his pj’s doing kids fitness videos on YouTube, I’m having a break from sorting the washing, my aim is to be able to use the dining table over Christmas for something other than just laundry storage.
DS is at the hair dressers this afty, then we’re gonna come home and watch a Christmas film with popcorn, we don’t often get time 1-2-1 so it’s nice just to hang out together.
Im working tonight so will have a nap once DP gets home at 5 before I head to work at 7pm.

Morning!
DP and DD are downstairs, playing hide and seek. I’m about to have a shower.
I’m planning to meet my dad and my brother and his family and MIL for lunch. DP’s kindly taking one for the team and staying at home with DD.
I still need to pick up a few stocking presents for DD, so hopefully will manage that while I’m out.
No plans for this evening other than loafing around, eating snacks and watching something frivolous on telly.

It's a work day for all of my household but I am the only one wfh. I started at 6am and cracked through my massive inbox which is now cleared apart from the few things I need to follow up/save for another day/speak to someone else.

My work is super flexible and we are quiet at this time of year so not much new work coming in. Basically, as long as I am on my laptop and contactable, I am set. I am hoping to get some wrapping done while everyone is out. DD and I are doing the food shop this evening - its our tradition- go late, take as long as it takes and have a drink when we get back while DH puts it all away.

I also need to clean and clear the fridge and have a bit of a freezer cull.

Tea and a wash on, bed stripped and airing.
I’m going to do a fridge clean and Tetris with all the extra food.
I've lost the salmon and cream cheese canapés that I bought yesterday; I can only hope they're still in the back of the van, as good as a fridge.

Later I will sort out some of my charity shop haul from yesterday, some great scarves and a long drapey dress, for dyeing into “my” colours.
Petrol blue today, I think.

This evening, I will start one of the four books I also bought yesterday, unless DH drags me out to the village pub.

Struggling to get fully up - my daughter has that flu going around and was quite tearful late last night so I stayed with her until she finally got to sleep. She's 17, suffers from migraines, and is normally very stoic.
I have a zoom pt session in 20 minutes though so need to move, though one of the cats has just plonked herself on top of me!
Then dog walk and tidying up for visitors tomorrow. Not the most exciting day!

Up very early for hospital appointment, another appointment for next week at Eye clinic even earlier. Can't thank them enough for their care as couldn't get appointment with GP or get anything at all from 111.

Going for Christmas lunch at local hotel with relatives who don't live locally. Might drop Christmas present to cousin on way home then back indoors for rest of day and evening.

Morning from rainy Cornwall. I’m not well ( see other thread in Chat) so instead of all the decluttering I planned, I’m sitting in my dressing gown watching Escape to the Country. DD14 stayed at a friend’s last night & not sure when she’ll be home. DH working til lunchtime then we’re doing the main food shop. Fairly short list which is good. Might need to pop into town for one ingredient. If it stops raining, we might go to see some lights this evening. DH making Jamie Oliver carbonara for tea which even incredibly fussy DD will eat. She picks out all the peas though!

Ah bugger, I pressed threads I’m on rather than post, lets try again.

I’m pleased everyones online food shop has gone okay, its annoying when there are lots of substitutions.

We’re off to Skansen (I think its called that) today, I think its the Swedish version of the black country living museum. After that we’re going supermarket shopping as we’re driving to my husbands summer house, so there won’t be any food there, it has been empty for months as well so we need to get things to give it a good clean as it will be dusty. Supermarket shops abroad are quite fun though, I don’t mind them.

Tonight my husbands grandma is going to be teaching my son how to make some traditional biscuits, pepparkalor I think, the pictures looked like gingerbiscuits but thinner.

Morning all,

DH is working from home, was planning to take DC library but they didnt seem enthused and we are all still suffering a bit from colds/coughs. So in bed with book and 2nd coffee while they have screen time.

Food shopping is coming this evening, have identified a couple more things, so might nip out this afternoon or wait til tomorrow

Need to find some enthusiasm for house cleaning and finishing wrapping.

Morning! We’ve had a slow morning of cleaning, now watching a film while waiting for the ham to cook. Then seeing friends later and a buffet for tea. Nice relaxed day after a couple of super busy weeks for all of us.
