Do you have to pay professional fees as a nurse monthly?

I pay once a year..was £120 a year i think.

Yes, we pay the nursing and midwifery council (NMC) £120 a year. The NMC holds our professional register. They investigate misconduct and can strike us off the register, meaning you can no longer work as a nurse/midwife. They set the standards for the profession and for education. I am sure they do other things too but I can't think what right now.

You can choose to pay monthly , quarterly or as a one off .. £120 a year at the moment
