Changing name by deed poll

Hi all, no idea which chat group to add this to, but- my husband and I have been married for 7 years, he is considering changing his surname by deed poll. As his wife, am I then able to use his new surname via marriage or do I legally have to change my name via deed poll to match? Thanks in advance!

I believe anyone can use any name that they want to, you don't need a deed poll to do it, you just tell everyone it's your new name and start using it.

That said, when I changed from my married name to my maiden name I found it much easier to have a deed poll + some certified copies - cost peanuts, did it online.
