I love my job, and I've worked really hard to get to where I am, BUT.... I earn less than a nurse. And they're on strike. And I'm 43, have 2 DCs, and no pension. And DH also earns less than a nurse, and also has no pension. (We do own our house outright though.)
I have an MA (in an arts based subject) am very good at writing, very good at disseminating information, know lots about art, speak fluent French, am good with people, have some (but not much) experience of managing people, am reliable, always meet deadlines, have a nice phone manner, can type super fast, and am very organised.
What can I do that would actually pay a decent salary??
I don't want to be someone's PA. If I'm giving up what I love I need to be earning c. £70,000 pa I reckon. I'm up for retraining if I can do it while working and it doesn't cost a fortune.
Any ideas?? (I did the government careers quiz and it suggested I could be a professional cyclist which I DEF can't be, or a nightclub bouncer. Again no.)
