I had a half black tonsil stone!

I'm recovering from a nasty bout of Strep A that's 10 days in currently. I just had a tonsil stone pop out but it was half black! I've never had this before. Is it a thing? I can't see anything similar on google. Can tonsil stones get stained by coffee d'you think?

You know we need a picture of said tonsil stone don’t you?

I used to get terrible tonsil stones but they were always yellow/white 🙀 I am poorly now with strep A despite having had my tonsils out. Are you feeling better?

Apparently it could be impurities in the stone itself caused it to go black
