Wouldn't it be useful if kettle retailers could state how long it takes to boil one cup?

My kettle gave up the ghost this morning. At least it happened just before xmas. So I'm looking at new ones online & checking what wattage they are. But it'd be more useful for me to know how fast they can boil one cup. I don't know now whether to get a fast boil (but ££ to use) or low wattage (but takes longer to boil)? Any recommendations?

The time it takes doesn’t change the amount of energy you use to boil a cup of water, so it will cost the same. The higher the wattage the faster it boils but the energy needed stays the same, for all practical purposes (if we’re being pedantic there is probably a tiny bit more heat lost to the surroundings if it takes longer to boil but that is insignificant).

They do. The kettle that I bought a couple of weeks ago says its boils 1 cup in 45 seconds. this one mentions it in the description.
