play dates - your top tips!

I’ve been playing catch up on play dates (as work/kids activities mean I struggle after school) so I’ve used xmas hols/weekend to host a sleepover and 4 play dates (since Friday after school)! My eldest seems to have a large group of friends and youngest less so but is new to the school so I need to book some in.

bar the food, setting up the craft the kids get on with it. I think I feel a bit overwhelmed sometimes as worry the kids are bored/not got enough to do and I should accept they make their own fun.

So what are your best play date tips?

McD’s, don’t script it and don’t invite parents. It’s a bit of fun out of school

Leave them to do exactly what they'd normally do after school for an hour,

Let them build their own pizza

Exciting dessert

Movie on until home time
