Hi my husband and I are at the airport in Boston to come home for Christmas. We booked icelandair through expedia, (Economy / Coach (W)) and I specifically booked a higher fare price that included checked bags.
Of course the booking doesn't show that, and we've flown icelandair a few times before.
However yesterday got an email that we'd been put on a jet blue flight, and instead of flying Boston to Reykjavik to London, we are now flying Boston-new york-london.
When checking in they charged us $100 x 2 for our checked bags.
I'm really annoyed by this as we will have to pay it again on the way back.
I know I paid the higher price to check bags but it doesn't show this on the email. I bookedin Oct.
All it says is Economy / Coach (W).
I know they have a light service with no checked bags which I definitely didn't book.
Do I have any recourse here? Thank you.
