Anyone else needing to get a task done before they feel Christmassy?

I have an essay deadline on the 22nd but for childcare reasons this is the last day that I have to finish it properly. I might be able to get the bibliography and respond to proof reading comments tomorrow (our uni has a free service) but the ‘meat’ has to done today. Desperate to do my wrapping with a Baileys in hand and get festive- but every spare minute has been research of writing.

2200/3000 words done but I’m quite convinced most of it is solid gold shite. Year 2 of my masters and I’m going to have to lower my expectations for myself a bit this year. Having a 6 month old has made things harder!

Anyone else in the same boat? What do you need to get done?

I’m an ex-teacher so would have usually been swinging from the Xmas tree by now.

Yes, big presentation tomorrow. Can't feel Christmassy until it's done- can't wait. I normally love the build up to Christmas- really hope it kicks in quickly.

I'm working up until Friday and have quite a large to do list to get through before then. I'm not feeling at all motivated and like you want to kick back with a Baileys in hand and watch Christmas movies with the DC etc.

I’m on leave already but until I’ve got my present for DH - which I’m collecting later on - I can’t relax! I need to know everything is in hand before I am fully festive.

I’m at wordcount and now I’m just combing through to make sure things make sense and it isn’t complete and utter bollocks.
