SIL is the golden child and lives abroad. When she comes back, PIL ignore us and 5yo DS. We live nearby and see them most weekends, help out with practical stuff etc.
I get that they don’t see SIL as much but we get completely ignored when she is here, and MIL only wants to do what SIL wants to do. DS is starting to ask why grandma never wants to play with him when his cousins are there.
DH admits it hurts him and that his entire childhood was like this. He has a brother too.
I feel so frustrated with the situation.
