Kindle app woes

I have a really old kindle but I don’t use it. I read using a Kindle app on my iPhone.
I have Kindle Unlimited.
My problem is that some, not all, books I wish to read are ‘not available to purchase on this app’.
Is there a way round this does anyone know?

Kindle is Krap. Every time I go to use it they seem to have made some 'improvement' which means I can never find where I am , or where I was, or what I'm looking for.
Also, really shitty recommendations which I can't seem to do anything about.

I can’t recall the reasons exactly, but the problem is that iOS doesn’t support kindle purchases - something to do with corporate finances, I think.

All you have to do is sign in to your Amazon account using safari, or another browser, i.e. NOT the Amazon app, and you can purchase kindle books which then get added to your kindle library. Then, open the kindle app and download them on to your phone from there.

What you need to do is go to the Amazon on your phone browser (or any other browser) and sign in to your Amazon account and buy whatever books you want. They'll show up in your library.

It's a pain with the apple app

@ohioriver it worked when I went to Amazon via browser rather than Amazon app. As opposed to kindle app which I had previously been trying

I should've been clearer glad you got it working. The iPhone app is a pain.
