If your husband is bald, does he wear something on his head indoors during the cold weather?

especially when the heating is off.
I'm a man and I sometimes wear a beanie type hat but feel a bit weird.
Maybe I should try a bandana?
If your husband wears something, what is it?
ps. I'm not interested in hearing from those whose husbands are such hot stuff that they don't feel the cold :)

A full fleece lined beany. A bandana just wouldn't be warm enough, he is a cold creature and also wears a fleece lined jumper all day and a warm dressing gown in bed.

Hoothootmf · 19/12/2022 12:55

Why does the beanie make you feel weird?
I have alopecia so in the cold head gang too and I just tend to wear beanies or knitted type hats, bandana wouldn't really help you keep warm.

DB has a cashmere beanie for this job. Very soft and very warm. He does bandanas and ball caps sometimes in the summer but I don't think it would be up to chilly UK winters!

Ramble0n · 19/12/2022 12:55

Sometimes.

Threadkillacilla · 19/12/2022 12:57

My Dad (bald) wears a beanie all the time and puts his hood up if his ears are cold.

Mammma91 · 19/12/2022 12:59

My DH is bald and wears nothing. Last week when it was snowing I woke before he was about to leave for work (5:30am!) and pestered him into wearing a hat.
I don’t know why he feels strange about it, he doesn’t like them but I want him to be warm. A nice cosy thermal hat never goes a miss, choose warmth and comfort. I think he’s sick fed up of me chasing him out the door with a hat. Now he does it voluntary 🤣

Sometimes mine wears a hooded dressing gown. He looks a bit like Tyson Fury about to head into the ring 😆

When I lost my hair due to chemo I did sometimes where a hat indoors but actually preferred not to.
I think for a man a knitted beanie would probably look best.

OhHeyBabe · 19/12/2022 13:05

He wears his hood up on his hoodie or a bobble hat.

doodleygirl · 19/12/2022 13:06

Either the hood from his sweatshirt or a beanie

AnnPerkins · 19/12/2022 13:08

DH has a collection of porkpie hats. He often wears one indoors, and a scarf.

SweetPetrichor · 19/12/2022 13:20

My partner wears a beanie inside when it’s cold. So do I…cause I shave my head! So we’re hat buddies in this cold weather.

SnarkyBag · 19/12/2022 13:31

DH wears a beanie indoors when he gets in from work. He works outside and it takes him a while to warm up.

RememberFlimsy · 19/12/2022 13:34

He wears a cotton hoodie and puts the hood up.

redtshirt50 · 19/12/2022 13:38

My brother has a beanie he wears - it’s not weird!

Ban · 19/12/2022 13:41

I'm female with a full head of hair and I wear a woolly hat indoors!

Woolly hat and warm socks are a must in this cold weather.

45% of your body heat is lost through your neck and head compared to the rest of your body. Why wouldn't you wear a hat!!

MrsCarson · 19/12/2022 13:46

My dh usually wears nothing on his head indoors, but during this cold snap we've had he's been wearing his thinsulate wooly hat, he says it's very toasty. This one

Twizbe · 19/12/2022 13:48

Mine doesn't. I did buy him a cotton sleeping cap because he tends to wrap the duvet up over his head which isn't good for me.

He didn't like it so doesn't wear it.

I've never actually asked him if his head gets cold inside ...

Raknin76 · 21/12/2022 17:36

I have a shaved head and only recently started to wear a fleeced beanie indoors - not sure why I didn't do it sooner as it makes such a difference. In bed I wear nothing but a smile 😁

Decades of conditioning telling you that men shouldn't wear a hat indoors?

DP wears a beanie or lined tweed cap sometimes. A mate is almost permanently in a bandana, but he's a brick shithouse beardy metalhead, so it goes with the overall look.

I did have to draw the line at my fancy fleece lined running beanies, though, because by the time I went to wear them, they'd been stretched to fit his head rather than mine.
