  • walk in a park/forest and pick up pinecones. Decorate with eco glitter/ribbons and use to decorate tree/house and keep for next year
  • Make pomanders. Push gloves into whole oranges in various patterns and tie up with ribbons
  • Walk along the sea side picking up shells, play frisbee, eye spy as you walk along
  • Each child gets to pick a film/TV show they enjoy watching
  • Make gingerbread men or other treat together
  • Is there a heated pool nearby? Go for a swim.
  • Play games- pictionary, monopoly, uno?
  • Go onto nextdoor.com in your local area and ask what is it on/available between those dates

Good thread OP. I always find this to be a dead time and it feels quite flat.

Treasure Trail? They're all round the country and last a few hours. Mine enjoy them plus we all get a bit of fresh air. Obviously not so brilliant if it's raining! Don't forget to take a pen.
