Have you ever had an 'electric shock' from a blood tes

I had a routine blood test on Thurs. They'd only just pricked the skin when I experienced what can only be described as an electric shock between my 3rd and 4th fingers. It was a real blast, really made me jump/convulse and possibly frightened the nurse more than me! I was told she must have caught a nerve and the blood was taken from the other arm.

I had a very slight ache in the arm for a few hours afterwards but everything seemed OK. Until today, when maybe a dozen times I've experienced this electric shock feeling in the same place. It really hurts, even when not experiencing the "shocks" now

Is it something that often happens and will pass or do I need to see someone?

I had this maybe two years ago. A nurse friend advised me to keep moving the ‘shocked’ arm to keep the blood flowing. It lasted a couple of days then was fine.

OK, thank you. It's surprised me that everything was fine for a couple of days and now it's started doing this.
