Planning on a roast beef dinner tomorrow, just wondering if I can cook it in the slow cooker instead of roasting it in the oven?

If so how? How long does it take? And can I use leftover bits in sandwiches like I would roast beef or will it be too soggy? 🤔

Im new to the slow cooker haha

I'm going to try it your way @MenaiMna. Sounds good

Just had slow-cooked beef today. I have never successfully roasted a supermarket joint. Brisket, Silverside, Rump or those vague 'roasting joint' pieces I slow cook. Today I seared the meat with some sliced onion and garlic and then put it in the slow cooker for 3 hours. Made the liquid (it will make its own liquid) into gravy. 3 hours cooking and you can slice the meat. 4 hours or longer the meat will fall apart (you might want that). I like slices best.
