What has happened to PG Tips?

I'm a long-term PG Tips drinker but for the last couple of months I cannot get a decent brew out of them...no matter how long they sit they just come out pale and anaemic.

I've recently given up alcohol so am even more reliant on a decent cuppa! Anyone else found this? We're defected to Yorkshire Tea in an attempt to save my sanity!!

Well, just good you've seen the light! Yorkshire tea is the only decent tea if you like a proper builders brew Xmas Grin

Yes try Yorkshire tea , it will blow your mind 🤯

VenusStarr · 18/12/2022 12:03

They're awful now. Stupid bags always split too. Moved on to Yorkshire tea now. Tesco strong brew is nice and so much cheaper.

If you like great tea try Ringtons Gold.

TroysMammy · 18/12/2022 12:05

On the drinks list on work I've put next to my name - tea, milk, no shite tea like PG Tips or Tetley. I like gold tea, M&S or Waitrose but prefer loose leaf speciality tea in a teapot.

agree.
twinnings is often on offer in our local Morrisons and Thomson’s was last week so got some of them. Pg tips is the last option for us now.
I’m surprised they still insist with the pyramid tea bag.
must use more teabag material than a square or round bag which everyone else uses yet we all seem to prefer the other brands!

Crinkle77 · 18/12/2022 12:21

I still like PG Tips but I always leave thd teabag in this days only cos I can't be arsed waiting for it to brew. Find Tetley and Typhoo make an awful weak tea. Punjana used to make a nice strong brew.

Yorkshire till I die!

Just need for there to be a consistent supply in Canada, and not have the family have to keep me supplied.

PG tips is dishwater.

I only drink Punjana. I like malty assam type tea and Punjana is strong in taste without being bitter.

Pixiedust1234 · 18/12/2022 16:54

Sainsburys Red Label is not as strong as Yorkshire but still a decent brew.

Bird & Blend Great British Cuppa is the only tea I can drink since I had COVID last year. Can't taste any of the others.
