A detective game for teens

DD ( about to turn 15) really wants one of those murder mystery games to play on her birthday - not a board game or an escape room but one of those ones where you have to deduce who the culprit is

Can anyone recommend one? It's difficult to tell online as they are either marketed at adults or children and she's a bit in between.

Hopefully not too expensive. She's already getting a piano for her birthday!

Cluedo? My teen and tween like playing it with me.

It is a board game but we got our detective mad teenager the Sherlock Holmes board game. They have to solve the crime using clues around the different locations on the board. There are 75 to solve. He really enjoys that one as he has to piece the clues together for himself like a detective.

This is age 10plus - I have it in the cupboard for Christmas so haven't played it yet www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0B1N8HSDR?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
But it's one time.

Hugely loved by my detective/mystery loving teens is the mysterium board game - you play cooperatively but can play over & over

The murder mystery games really need about 6-8 people to do them otherwise they're a bit pointless. I'm assuming the ones meant for around the dinner table and where you dress up? There are loads on Amazon, just pick your theme.

I've bought MacroMicro Crime City with the giant map for DD 12. I think it's the kind of thing she'll like.

This is the game I mentioned. It is a favourite of our teen

Cotswoldmama · 22/12/2022 22:21

We used to play a game called Scotland yard, I don't know if it still exists but we loved it.

Queenmargery · 22/12/2022 22:40

We have the Sherlock Holmes game mentioned. It's very enjoyable. We play it with a 14 and 16 year old.

MerylSqueak · 22/12/2022 22:46

Thanks for your replies. I had 221b Baker Street and loved it but I don't think that's what she's after. I'll check out your other links.
