Marmaris, Turkey in April, warm enough?

Cannot afford July/August prices this year.

Beginning of April, is it worth it? Still a nice holiday?

Have an indoor pool at least.

Beginning of April is very early as many places won’t be open until the beginning of May. Weather will be warm, not hot. The sea will be very cold. Pools may not be open and if they do they will be freezing. It will be cold at night. That time of year is nice for sightseeing, not so
much for a beach holiday.

It might rain a lot but there will still be places open, albeit a bit sleepy and slow paced. It is sort of the time that they start to get ready for the coming season. Have you been before? It will be different to high season

Could you afford early May instead. Much more will be open and you will probably be luckier with the weather. Also what sort of hotel are you looking at? An indoor pool makes me think you are looking at a big ai place. It might work out cheaper and nicer to book a 3 star bed and breakfast hotel. The Turkish food is amazing and you can try different places. There is a tiny place called Ney in Marmaris. The guy who runs it is the chef, waiter and everything else and the food and setting is simply stunning!

No! Been early May and was cold.

It won’t be warm enough. I’ve been through the same dilemma myself, in previous years.

Oh man.

I can't go in May holidays and July/Aug is just ££££££ :(

How about October then? The sea is lovely and warm and the price's are much better than high season.

Confusing title for thread- mentioning Turkey but not in context of Christmas dinner!

Was the ''Marmaris" bit not a clue to what this thread is about? What a weird comment to make

I went for the first week of May a few years ago. It was very warm when the sun was shining but got a bit chilly when the clouds came out (probably only a couple of days had ok weather for sunbathing). We had one day of very heavy rain and two evenings of very heavy rain. It was still a lovely holiday but not the beach holiday I was expecting.

Has anyone seen a decent week all inclusive anywhere from July 12th?
