How do you bring a potted Christmas tree home?

We've only had cut trees before but a place local to us has some lovely potted ones but I have no idea how you get them home without soil everywhere?

Bin bag round the pot and tied around the trunk.

Thank you, I knew it had to be something obvious as clearly other people manage it but my brain is scrambled right now!
