Interested in your fave places to visit and those that shocked you / surprised you in the U.K.. Mine:
Love:
Hampstead - beautiful parks, wild swimming, country escape in London
Hull - so much character, very friendly, great pubs, love the sea theme around the city and the hidden fish carved on bricks
Stratford-upon-Avon - absolutely beautiful buildings and river, so much history, great food
York - great history, really unique city
Glasgow - super friendly, great nightlife
Canterbury - quirky, great food
Dislike:
Rural Scotland (unpopular opinion I know) - feels desolate and haunting
Lake District - same as above (although people are so lovely)
St Ives - happiest place to live 2022, but I found it overcrowded and not particularly friendly, I also don't particularly like beaches so this didn't attract me
Falmouth - too much of a student city
Leeds - industrial and too big
Brighton - again not a fan of the English coast, too loud and crowded
