Would a glass tv stand break or shatter

I remember having a glass coffee table before. It just shattered into little pieces one day. I suspect it was a temperature change.

Anyways I bought a new TV and I also bough a swivel tv stand. I bought it from amazon because it had some good value. The base of the TV stand is a black coloured glass. The pole attached to the glass base is metal. This whole entire structure and other poles has the TV attached to it.

I am wondering now if the base will be prone to shattering. Did this ever happen to anyone before?

I live in an older house. It can get very cold in the house. The heating isn't on a lot so it doesn't usually get hot. Sometimes it gets warm but a lot of the time it's cold.

I am anxious that the base of the TV stand might shatter at some point. Did this ever happen to anyone here?

This is what I have.

I am anxious about the glass now. I never thought about the glass when I bought it until now.

Hello,

You sound anxious. I get that.

No, I've not had that happen to me, and in rural Scotland it reached minus 16 here this week. We have things in farm sheds like you described, for cctv at lambing, and music and they are all ok.

I would suspect the original had some tiny flaw, annoyingly.

Hope you are ok.

I'm anxious at the moment to, and agree with your username

I have a glass coffee table, it has never occurred to me that it could suddenly shatter. My adult child also has a glass TV stand in their bedroom. Has had it for about 4 years.
