Because if you are...this might be where it's gone clicky bbc link
It shows some brass neck --although DH said "it's genius!" and they get their £1 back when they return the trolley to the shop.
How can any courier company leave stuff on your doorstep without a signature? The minimum would be photo of your feet. The parcel can't still be insured?

Why, when there are so many parcel lockers and parcel collection points at shops, do people order parcels when they aren’t home for delivery?

The drivers can’t repeatedly go back to deliver to people who aren’t in, they work until late as it is with traffic & roadwork delays.

It happens all the time round here (London). Most of the time they don't bother to ring the bell or knock. Just chuck it in the front garden, leave it by front door or in the recycling bin (why??), hand it to a random neighbour despite us being at home, then leg it. Sometimes are packages have been opened to check for valuable items before being slung over the front hedge.

There are loads of people who then check front gardens for packages to take. You have to be pretty quick to receive your items.

I presume it's either low pay / pay per delivery / no quality control.
