Looks like my little boy (almost 4) is onto his third case of strep in a month... He's had 2 rounds of amoxicillin so far. Will head to the gp tomorrow and hopefully they'll swab and try a different antibiotic this time. Fortunately this time the visible symptoms in his throat (white patches and swelling) are coming before anything else - possibly because I'm sticking a torch in his mouth daily to check now, I didn't check before the fever the last 2 times.
His nursery is swimming in cases, makes me think there's a symptomelss carrier perhaps. They notified us that they have to contact the health board again as there's been more than 3 weeks of new cases now.
I'm so gutted for him :( But grateful he's doing ok with it so far given the news.
