It's my birthday. What shall I do?

It's my birthday today.
I've booked the day off work but my child is off sick from school.
My partner has kindly offered to watch and play with my child for some of the day while he works from home.
What would you do?

Happy birthday! I’d take myself off to the cinema. I’d avoid the shops at this time of year. How are the roads around yours? Mine are trecherous so I’d probably have a rain check for another day.

Cinema is a good call, maybe a visit to one or two nice shops before the crowds descend. Nice lunch, nails, last minute half day spa perhaps? Then make sure a nice easy tea is sorted (by your partner) so you don’t have to think about that either.

It's dh birthday today too.
I second cinema and a mini pamper session, or maybe a nice lunch somewhere?

Dh is taking ds to see santa (tradition he started last year with his mum) and then they're going to softplay with his best friend and his daughter.

Have you done all your Christmas shopping? I'd be tempted to go into my nearest town, finish up my shopping in peace, and treat myself to a nice lunch or big slice of cake somewhere.
