I got my grandson aged 9 last year a personalised football boot bag . Sorry haven't got a link but there are plenty available online. Maybe something like that ? Assuming he plays football of course !🙂

Does he like reading? Lots of great football books for boys out in Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane etc

can’t go wrong with a football top either though expensive

I have a 9-yo and he asked for a specific jersey, not even one of the most famous players. Maybe you could gently find out who his favourite is?

Have a look on his favourite club, or country's, online shop. There will be loads of things that might grab your eye, and you could maybe have it shipped direct to his home so that the weight/posting isn't then an issue. Just tip the parents off not to open it, or maybe they will wrap it for you!

  • Football kit
  • one of those balls that tracks stats like how much you kick them
  • or a glow in the dark ball, kids love them for Insta
  • astro boots
  • goalie gloves
  • grip socks
  • Subbuteo in his fave team colours

Does he like Fifa? We got DS a personalised Fifa card as one of his presents. It looks really good! We got ours from a website called CardsPlug.

Goalie gloves are light so they would be postable. Or maybe footie socks?

Smart Football

Get him a Kickmaster Control Trainer. It's basically a football on a string but it helps improve their ball control. As it's on a string it also gives them a ball to kick around in the garden without the ball going over the next door neighbour's fence! My 9 yr old has one and he's always playing with it and it has improved his game. They only cost like £15 👍

Thanks everyone! Have gone for the Marcus Rashford book, a bootbag and the Kickmaster trainer. I’m sure he’ll like all of them 😀
