Can you transport a under counter freezer in the car?

Been needing a spare freezer for a while now and have found a under the counter one on Facebook for a good price in good condition. Question is, can this be transported in our car which is an estate car so quite spacious. Or would it have to be in a bigger van properly upright? Probably won't bother if we have to go through the hassle of sourcing a van!

Should fit in an estate with the seats down. Easiest way to know is to measure it though. Make sure you measure height as well

Yes, I’ve done it in a non estate car with the back seats down.

It should be on its side rather than its back if you do and don’t power up for a few hours to let any gasses bubble to the right place www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-service/get-support/fridge-freezers/transporting-a-fridge-on-side

Depends on the car. Would fit in my people carrier but not the hatchback or dps company car

Would an under counter fridge not fit in the boot of a Suzuki Alto?
