Tell me about your low sugar indulgent treats

Perhaps the wrong time of year to be tackling this....but I have a serious sugar addiction that I need to work on. I think part of thr issue is needing a 'treat', and also am at home more on mat leave and don't have the distraction of work.

If you have an indulgent low sugar treat what is it? I don't mind about fat/calories.

I like an oat cake topped with ricotta and sliced strawberries, or a sliced apple with some crunchy peanut butter. You can get different flavours of nut butters these days as well, I bought some maple pumpkinseed butter that is lovely with apple slices.

I’d honestly reconsider having treats on a regular basis at all. If your problem is needing a treat, then transferring that to someone else only shifts the problem. Personally, on weekdays I don’t snack, and I limit high fat, high sugar foods to the weekends. It works for me, as I don’t feel deprived with this, and I’m a fan on intermittent fasting anyway. I guess cheese is the obvious answer, as it’s not ultra processed, doesn’t have simple carbs which would break down to sugars replicating the effect of what you’re trying to avoid, and feels indulgent.
