Friends issues

So prepared to be told I need to chill, and I know the rational part of my brain is telling me to calm down, but the over-protective mother in just needs to worry.

So my DD had a friend she was close to and all seemed ok, but recently has been saying how that friend has got a new friend she plays with and when she says this, I always encourage her to find other kids to play with. It's normal right, I should add she's only 6...it's just when she's telling me can tell she feels hurt by the rejection, there's not much you can do, as it's just part of life. ( I do realise I'm answering my own questions here, but just need a bit of support)

I also know the whole if I can't deal with this, how on earth am I going to deal with the next 10yrs!

Hi darling. It's so hard to be in the situation isn't it, especially when they're so little and fragile and you just want to wrap them up and protect them from the world. It's good you already encouraged her to find other friends, this post is from 2022 so I really hope your DD has lots and lots of friends now :)
